When the wind makes a whistling sound
I open my toy chest and look around
And at the bottom under everything
Is my big blue kite and a ball of string

Let’s go fly my big blue kite
It’s got a long tail and it’s outta sight!
I have enough string to touch a star so bright

I ask my mom if it’s okay
For me to go outside and play
then I call my sister Sue
so she can come and fly it too
